New Malware Focusing on Emails

Email login credentials are the focus of a new malware campaign, discovered by security analysts. Concern has been raised about phishing emails.

Tech Radar reports that researchers at DSCO CyTec have uncovered a password-stealing program dubbed “StrelaStealer” that targets users of the Spanish versions of Outlook and Thunderbird.

You should always verify the sender’s email address to make sure it is legitimate. In addition, the purchaser shouldn’t engage with any links unless they are certain the company itself provided them.

It’s possible that there are grammatical mistakes in the email, another red flag that it’s a phishing attempt.
