The update that was rolled out on August 30th has landed quite a few upset users, stating that there have been reports of high CPU utilization showing up in their Task Manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"589\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/www.karlstechnology.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Annotation-2019-09-03-175723.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-628\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.karlstechnology.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Annotation-2019-09-03-175723.png 589w, https:\/\/www.karlstechnology.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Annotation-2019-09-03-175723-300x138.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 589px) 100vw, 589px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>As of today, Microsoft has shared on Twitter their awareness of the issue connected to <strong>&#8220;SeachUI.EXE&#8221;<\/strong> and has gone the necessary steps to get the issue cleared up. Not everyone is experiencing this, but if you are, there is a way that you can resolve this issue. Thankfully, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.windowscentral.com\/how-fix-high-cpu-usage-after-installing-update-kb4512941-windows-10\">WindowsCentral<\/a> shares two ways to fix it:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Open\u00a0<strong>Settings<\/strong>.<\/p><p>Click on\u00a0<strong>Update &amp; Security<\/strong>.<\/p><p>Click on\u00a0<strong>Windows Update<\/strong>.<\/p><p>Click the\u00a0<strong>View update history<\/strong>\u00a0option. <\/p><p>Click the\u00a0<strong>Uninstall updates<\/strong>\u00a0option. <\/p><p>Select the &#8220;Update for Microsoft Windows (KB4512941)&#8221; item.<\/p><p>Click the\u00a0<strong>Uninstall<\/strong>\u00a0button.<\/p><p> Click the\u00a0<strong>Yes<\/strong>\u00a0button. <\/p><p> Click the\u00a0<strong>Restart Now<\/strong>\u00a0button. <\/p><cite> -KB4512941 removing update <\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The second one, using the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.windowscentral.com\/how-fix-high-cpu-usage-after-installing-update-kb4512941-windows-10#fix_high_cpu_KB4512941_regedit_windows10\">Registry<\/a> settings, is a riskier fix and may cause permanent damage if done incorrectly. And nobody wants that.
