This concern is asked by customers many times to computer techs. It&#8217;s easy to fix, fortunately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tip: Make sure you have the correct software to open up attachments. If there is a PDF file attachment, you won&#8217;t be able to open it if your PDF Reader is unavailable or isn&#8217;t up-to-date.  If you use Microsoft Edge as your browser, PDF attachments should open in Edge. Otherwise, you can use Adobe or another PDF viewer of your choice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Be Careful of Unknown Attachments<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Microsoft e-mail domains, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/support.office.com\/en-us\/article\/open-or-save-attachments-92f87f3f-1085-425a-87f6-08d43c19b43d\">Outlook<\/a> say they accept, &#8220;a wide variety of different file types, but&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/support.office.com\/en-us\/article\/blocked-attachments-in-outlook-434752e1-02d3-4e90-9124-8b81e49a8519\">blocks potentially unsafe attachments<\/a>&nbsp;(including .bat, .exe, .vbs, and .js files) that can contain viruses.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They also highly advise to, &#8220;be careful in opening any attachment, especially if it\u2019s from someone that you don\u2019t know or trust. When in doubt, confirm the authenticity of the attachment with the sender.
