Anyone who wishes to edit or enhance the code has complete access to the source code. This was by the newly publicized remote code execution (RCE) vulnerability. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jenkins is a well-known open source program that aids in the automation of some aspects of software development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Recently a proof-of-concept exploit code for the Confluence vulnerability, tracked as CVE-2021-26084, became public, and it didn\u2019t take long for threat actors to begin scanning and exploiting vulnerable instances of the popular\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.techradar.com\/best\/best-online-collaboration-tools\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">collaboration platform<\/a>, for nefarious purposes like installing\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.techradar.com\/best\/mining-rigs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">cryptominers<\/a>.<\/p><cite>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.techradar.com\/news\/atlassian-confluence-hacked-to-mine-monero\">TechRadar<\/a><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.synopsys.com\/\">Synopsys<\/a>, a technology business responsible for the\u00a0open source security management system,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.blackducksoftware.com\/\">Black Duck<\/a> stated that 84% of codebases contain an open source vulnerability<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just remember, open sourced software can become vulnerable if you are not controlling it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p>For help with any computer issues, call us at\u00a0<a href=\"tel:1-800-620-5285\">1-800-620-5285<\/a>. \u00a0Karls Technology is a nationwide computer service company with offices in many major cities.
