And with the pandemic still around, this helps many Microsoft users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Microsoft Docs, which share important information on servicing their updates, lengthened their end of service for 1709 from April to October. <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/en-us\/lifecycle\/announcements\/windows-10-1709-end-of-servicing\">According to their records<\/a>, they say:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;Windows 10, version 1709 will reach the end of servicing on October 13, 2020\u00a0<del>April 14, 2020<\/del>. This applies to the following editions* of Windows 10 released in October of 2018:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Windows 10 Education, version 1709<\/li><li>Windows 10 Enterprise, version 1709<\/li><li>Windows 10 IoT Enterprise, version 1709<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These editions will no longer receive security updates after October 13, 2020\u00a0<del>April 14, 2020<\/del>. Please go\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/en-us\/lifecycle\/announcements\/revised-end-of-service-windows-10-1709\">here<\/a>\u00a0for the latest information. Customers who contact Microsoft Support after this date will be directed to update their device to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/technet.microsoft.com\/windows\/release-info\">latest version<\/a>\u00a0of Windows 10 to remain supported.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>This particular date also includes, &#8220;<strong>SharePoint Server 2010, SharePoint Foundation 2010, and Project Server 2010.<\/strong>&#8221; Version 1809&#8217;s end of service date was May 12th of 2020.
